Dogwood Festival List of Events

The 54th Anniversary of the Orleans Dogwood Festival kicks off this coming weekend with a number of special opening events including the 2024 Dogwood Queen Crowning ceremonies set for Saturday, April 20th  at 5PM at the Orleans Elementary School gym. As in years past the 2024 "Mr. Dogwood" will be crowned during the intermission for the queen crowning. The ceremonies are open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend.

The Town-Wide yard sale will take place both Friday and Saturday. The Dogwood Historic Walk is set to start from Congress Square beginning at 9AM.

The Dogwood Classic Car Show will take center stage Saturday in historic Congress Square. Registration starts at 10AM with the show running from Noon - 4PM. Show organizers have added a Model Car Show for the area youth.

The Dogwood Baby Contest will be held Sunday, April 21rst at 2PM at the Orleans High School Cafeteria. New this year is the "Little Mister Dogwood" contest also taking place April 21rst at 1PM at the Orleans Elementary School.

April 22nd is when the festival kicks into full gear with the opening of the Midway Downtown and hosts fun family events that run through Parade Day on April 27th. Advance Sales of the Carnival Armband Tickets are now underway and available at various locations around town. $30 per armband

The Orleans Band Parents Food Stand opens to feed festival goers starting on Monday, April 22nd. 

Other returning favorites include the student art show, Photo Contest Display showcased at the Orleans Library throughout the entire festival week. 

Wednesday night, April 24th will be "Gospel Night in the Park," starting at 6PM with the Breeding Sisters & Worth The Journey. In addition, the Deaton Family Band will also perform that evening downtown. Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs.
